2020 Jeroen Hilhorst Super Concert Guitar Cedar Ziricote

This is the last cedar top guitar built by legendary Dutch luthier Jeroen Hilhorst. Jeroen retired a couple years ago. These guitars are tough to get in the United States. This is the most powerful classical guitar I have ever played! Its dynamic range is huge, with a thick, modern, tone. It features Hilhorst’s final developed top. In fact, this is the ONLY Cedar top Hilhorst featuring this design, making it a one of a kind instrument. He describes it as a unique soundboard that utilizes the principles of both lattice-bracing and fan-bracing. The resulting tone is gorgeous and very complex to me. Warm and rich and deep and incisive. The trebles really jump out to me as the standout quality. Full, warm trebles that cut through cleanly and let the instrument sing. Playability is fantastic. Condition is very good, one minor hairline crack developed on the outer edge of the lower bout but was expertly repaired by G.V. Rubio in California. Please see the photos and ask any questions. There's also one string ding below the bridge, and some cosmetic finish wear on the top, towards the bottom of the sound board under the bridge.
