2003 Sergio Abreu #488 Spruce Rosewood

Condition:Excellent
Category:Classical Guitars
Description

Aging fingers oblige me to part with this wonderful guitar, #488 built by Brazilian luthier and former guitar virtuoso Sergio Abreu in 2003. As noted on the inside label, this guitar pairs lustrous Indian Rosewood back and sides with a straight grain Old Spruce (OS) top and features Abreu's signature Extra Weather Resistance (EWR) finish, designed to inhibit cracking caused by temperature and humidity changes. The guitar is free of any cracks or dings. The french polished top was refreshed in 2017; a few tiny fingernail marks are barely visible below the sound hole. This concert-level guitar is easy to play, thanks to the D-shape neck, 645mm scale length and 52mm nut. The tone is full and balanced, with excellent string separation and sustain. Fitted with Savarez Cantiga Premium normal tension strings. The guitar will be shipped in a durable carrying case in excellent condition.
